Temple dedicated to Phan Thanh Gian, the mandarin who signed the treaty ceding the 3 eastern provinces of Cochinchina to France.
Built in 1864, this temple is dedicated to Phan Thanh Gian (1796-1867), a great mandarin who, under the reign of Tu Duc, signed in 1862 the treaty of cession of the 3 eastern provinces of Cochinchina to France. Although he was considered a traitor by the Vietnamese, the temple dedicated to him is nevertheless superb, while remaining discreet. Also royal governor of the 3 western provinces, he failed to defend Vinh Long and preferred to kill himself.

Ce lieu est incontournable lors de votre visite d'Hanoi. Un peu excentré, il mérite un détour. Ce temple permet la vénération des mandarins ayant favoriser le développement de l'instruction à Hanoi.
