CASTILLO DE LOS CALATRAVOS

Built in the twelfth century and remodeled in the eighteenth century, this castle dominates the city and guarantees an exceptional view of the surroundings. It has been a castle, a palace, a prison, a barracks and now houses a parador. The oldest part of the castle is the northeast part, where thetower of homage and the chapel (12th and 13th centuries) are located. It is worth noting the great beauty of the set of Gothic murals from the 14th century, one of the most interesting in Aragon.
