LES ALENTOURS

From Barbastro, it is a landscape of cultivated plains, the first at the foot of the Pyrenees, with many areas of vineyards from which the Somontano wines come. It is a fertile region until the first foothills of the Sierra de Guara, a little before Alquezar. A new dry and arid landscape opens up, a raw land with amazing shades of red, pink and red. Here, the Vero and its tributaries flow down deep gorges that are gradually revealed along a small road that climbs the hillside on which Alquezar is nestled.
