PARADOR DE JARANDILLA DE LA VERA ^{* * * *}

The ancient castle of the Counts of Oropesa (th century), the Parador offers a superb view of the orchards of La Vera. Charles Quint stayed there for several months before joining the monastery of Yuste. Another illustrious visitor, Charles de Gaulle, would also have spent the night.
