This church is a jewel of the Manueline Gothic style, with its superb spiral columns and three naves
This 16th century church was built during the reign of Manuel I and served as the residence of the bishops of Ceuta. It is a jewel of the Manueline Gothic style and it shines with its beautiful spiral carved columns and its three naves separated by half-point arches. The sides of the church are decorated with Portuguese tiles and naturalistic and marine decorations. Inside, the gilded altarpieces dating from the 18th century are particularly noteworthy.
