NATIONAL GALLERY (MAGYAR NEMZETI GALÉRIA)

The permanent collection of the Hungarian National Gallery presents paintings and sculptures by Hungarian artists of the 19th and 20th centuries as well as objects from the 11th to the 18th century. Especially paintings by Csontváry and Munkácsy, to be discovered absolutely! In the gallery of monuments from the Middle Ages, there are beautiful Gothic statues made of carved wood, triptychs from the late Gothic and works from the Renaissance. Temporary exhibitions are often fantastic.
