Ethnographic museum tracing the history and evolution of Hungarian crafts, customs and trades in Budapest.
The Ethnographic Museum has recently been moved to the new museum district in the Bois-de-la-Ville. In this modern building is presented a permanent collection of nearly 200,000 objects, tracing the history and evolution of Hungarian crafts, customs and trades. A space is dedicated to ceramic objects and several temporary exhibitions are proposed, such as the one of the pieces acquired during the relocation of the museum..

TRÈS BEAU BÂTIMENT
CE MUSÉE ETHNOLOGIQUE QUI ÉTAIT AUPARAVANT L'ANCIEN PALAIS DE JUSTICE EST FABULEUX PAR SON ARCHITECTURE ET SES NOMBREUSES STATUES SUR SA FAÇADE EXTÉRIEURE. IL TRÔNE SUR LA PLACE LAJOS KOSSUTH ET FAIT FACE AU PARLEMENT

J'ai beaucoup aimé ce musée qui rassemble de belles pièces de la vie traditionnelle hongroise des 19eme et 20eme siècle.

Le musée ethnographique n'est pas à priori celui que l'on pense visiter en 1er. Mais sans parler des collections du musée, je dirais qu'il mérite une visite pour une autre raison: la bâtiment exceptionnel qu'il occupe! D'ailleurs avec le projet du nouveau quartier des musées, il faut savoir que le musée ethnographique va déménager dans quelques années, donc raison de plus pour visiter ce palais incroyable ( ancienne curie royale sous l'empire austro-hongrois!). Petite astuce: si vous ne souhaitez visiter que le bâtiment, sans les collections, demandez un "aula jegy" de 2€ environ, petite économie sur l'entrée du musée!

Superbe... A voir ! Ce musée se situe juste derrière le Parlement - Gratuit pour les plus de 65 ans !
For a building full of history, the permanent exhibitions lack prestige. Although the collections are rich but the virtually nonexistent translations what do not facilitate the visit. In addition, with thoughtless, it is quite difficult to find the door!
