If you are a victim or witness of a crime call (1) 438 8080. If you have lost or stolen a passport or ID, go to one of these stations to complete a return and notify the Immigration Office at (1) 463 9165 or (1) 463 9181 (English, open 24 hours). Don't forget to contact your embassy as soon as possible, which after the rigorous checks in the prefecture you issued the original document can provide you with a pass to return to your country. For France, the pass takes 2-3 days and costs about 7 000 Ft. The emergency passport may be issued only in the event of a exeptionelle situation (professional reason or death) and duly proven (certificate of the employer, medical certificate of death or any other document proving the death of a close). In all cases, the operation is facilitated if you have color photocopies of its pieces of identity or scanned copies on a USB key (or in its email box).
