Whether you consider it kitsch or chic, and although often overrun by tourists, the Művész, located almost opposite the National Opera, is a Budapest landmark, and has been since 1898, the year it opened. At the Café des Artistes, you can enjoy the terrace overlooking Andrássy in summer, and the Viennese-style interior lounges in winter. The tables are arranged so that you can see the whole room from all sides. Thanks to its success, the establishment has increased its prices and reduced the size of its cakes (all great Hungarian classics).

Une patisserie traditionelle dans le coeur de la cité près de l'Opéra. Ambience agréable, bonne choix des gateaux de qualité, bon thé. Un peu chèr. Ouvert aussi le soir.

J'ai été très déçue par cette pâtisserie. Une forte odeur de vernis ou de peinture était présente dans la boutique, et bien que les cafés soient originaux et délicieux, les parts de gâteaux étaient secs et presque rances. Je ne recommande pas d'y aller, surtout vu le prix.
