Opened by a painter, the Lavender Guesthouse distinguishes itself from its Budapest peers by its 100% Hungarian retro decor and its personalized welcome. Bye bye dormitories, there are only private double rooms (10 of them) and apartments. So it's mostly couples or friends out for a walk who take up residence here. Some rooms have their own bathroom. Everyone has a key and the reception is open 24 hours a day.

Liked · The location is the best in Budapest. It's close to all main public transportation systems. The decoration is amazing, special and unique. It's a hostel that makes you feel a guest at someone's house. It's an experience I've never had. There is a fully-equipped kitchen that you can use at anytime. The receptionist was very kind and informative.
Disliked · I didn't like that the toilet was outside my room, but it's just a detail that did not bother us at all. The whole environment of the hostel makes it worth it!
Only issue is that reception is in the top floor so you need to have strong muscles to carry your luggage by stairs. Helped us burn calories so no complaints.
Entrance might be confusing for first time travelers but get really close to the door and dial the hostel number
Very close to major tourist attractions.
A proximité se trouve l'arrêt de bus pour se rendre à l'aéroport.
Chambre propre, pas de bruits, un frigo à la réception est disponible.
Pas d'ascenseur, pas de produits d'hygiène c'est dommage (gel douche/shampoing).
