Charming rustic restaurant in the heart of Óbuda, Budapest.
The Kéhli is an old country house with a rustic charm, as the neighborhood still abounded a century ago. Bohemians from the artistic world frequented the German-born mother's establishment, including the great Hungarian writer and food critic Gyula Krúdy. Fortunately, a recent facelift has not taken away from the atmosphere, which has remained unchanged. The menu still includes the author's favorite dish: a stew with marrow bone (served in a cauldron), along with other Magyar main courses.
