Historic café-restaurant with terrace in the heart of Kamermayer Square in Budapest.

In the heart of Kamermayer Square, spared from the tourist flow of Váci Street 300 m away, there is a very special atmosphere. You feel as if you've been transported somewhere else, the place is so full of history and very Parisian! Café Gerlóczy, which opened at the beginning of the 20th century, closed at the end of the 1970s. Since then Gerlóczy has (re) become a café-restaurant with an indisputable cachet. Friday and Saturday, the guests dine to the sound of the piano. Remarkable terrace.

Friendly setting in Parisian bistro, but in more gloomy and not very web (one had forgotten to do the housekeeping?) Welcome and deplorable service: unpleasant staff only think of getting rid as quickly as possible. Cuisine in the Hungarian style, a little too spicy has my taste, but satisfactory. Good wines. Average prices, not very cheap forcing.

Room full tourists, not only Hungarian.

You can go to the obligatory but that is no longer a good deal.
