The largest, most central and touristic of Budapest's tea houses is a must in the centre of Pest on Vörösmarty tér. The charm of tradition emerges from this pastry shop and the entire building, which is worth a visit. Among the specialities: Esterházy pie and the famous Gerbeaud cake named after its creator, made from shortcrust pastry covered with chocolate icing, filled with jam, grated nuts and apple pieces. You will find the brand's cake everywhere, including in other pastries.

Place is a bit overhyped. The prices are over the top. Pastries are good, but not worth the price. Coffee was a let down. I wouldn't recommend it. I prefer New York Cafe.
