On the first floor of the Polydoros Hotel, a tastefully appointed family-run establishment in the center of Paleochora, between the Pachia Ammos and Chalikia beaches. Set in a beautiful open-air garden, the hotel's wine bar offers over 40 different Cretan wines by the glass. A place to enjoy some of Crete's finest wines, before dinner or later in the evening, away from the busy tourist life of Paleochora, in a very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere.

Owner's Message
Monika’s Garden opened its doors in the summer of 2015. It was part of the complete renovation of our sister property Hotel Polydoros Apartments.
A very beautiful Wine Bar with a breathtaking garden offering over 40 different wines by the glass. One of its unique offerings is that all the wines are from Crete. With over 30 producers the island has so much to offer to our traveller friends.
Monika was the mum of Polydoros ,Sofia and Ántonia Markoulaki. She always said that the garden was her fourth child because she looked after it with so much love. She sadly passed away before she could see it finished and the Wine Bar was named in her honour.
You can still feel her warmth when you spend enough time in the Garden.
