A ruined Venetian fort in Sitia.

This ruined Venetian fort is now used as an outdoor theater. In addition, it is a good stroll in the narrow and winding streets of the tiny old town of Sitia, connected by worn stone staircases. The bougainvilleas are pouring out of the houses, and we almost feel like we're going to the inhabitants by rushing into these streets. The fortress does not offer a shade, so prefer the cooler hours in the morning. The view from the fortress is magnificent on the surrounding area and the bay.

C'est un monument peu connu mais il reflète la vie crétoise il y a des années. C'est un lieu magnifique même vu du port de Sitia.
