The Kalidon restaurant is located by the sea, near the small port of Elounda. On a floating platform you can taste traditional Greek dishes as well as international cuisine arranged to local taste. This tavern opened its doors in the first building built in Elounda in 1906. It is a family tavern located in the town square by the sea. The locals proudly recount that Victoria Hislop, author of The Island of the Forgotten, whose plot is set on Spinalonga Island, is said to have sat there.
