Chak-Wak is an entertainment park created in 2006. It spreads over 5 hectares in the heart of the palm grove and is organized around the theme of the history of humanity with many activities on site. Among the amenities: the café, the restaurant, the space reserved for families. Musical evenings are also organized regularly. The museology is rather dated and the site is unfortunately poorly maintained. But the setting among the palm trees is still beautiful and children may find it interesting.

un musée en pleine nature dans l'oasis de Tozeur. un voyage dans l 'histoire de la terre et de l'homme.Excellent a visiter en famille de préférence la journée !

It is totally surrealist: we stroll ourselves in the palm grove, and suddenly, we see a dinosaur watching us fixedly: it was the entrance Chak-Wak. We did not wait at all to find something of this type in Tozeur (unfortunately did not have the guide sly little minx!). Well it is very well! A ride of at least 2 hours in a huge area of the palm grove, well-maintained... All the history (or almost!) of humanity is recomstituée, via the prehistoric men, then the appearance of the various religions (noah's life-size), cultures in the world... it is very exotic...

Note: they also organize meals (very classy) under the tent, barbecues, etc... We saw the preparation, gave desire to get there. There is also a restaurant (it is necessary to book). Of course, you need a means of transport to get there (although walk it is feasible).
