MUSEUM

Composed of three rooms, this modest museum presents archaeological objects discovered during the excavations on the site of Makthar and other surrounding areas. The first room is reserved for the oldest archaeological evidence. Do not miss the votive steles showing the different ancient writings: Libyan, Punic, Neopunic. The second room presents the objects of the Roman period. The last room is reserved for paleochristian and Byzantine antiquities. Just behind the museum are the remains of a basilica.
