Built in the first half of the 17th century by Moors who emigrated to Tunisia. Its walls are made of stone from Tichilla, an ancient site on whose ruins the city was built. Like those of the mosque of Cordoba, its roofs are made of glazed and colored tiles. The prayer hall has nine naves, the middle of which is topped by two domes, one in front of the mihrab and the other in the middle. On the courtyard side was a wall clock with hands turning from right to left and with Arabic numerals.
