The basilica of Damous El Karita is a Christian basilica. It is located below the Odeon plateau, and is a vast complex of two ancient basilicas of which only the foundations remain. During the first excavations in 1878, a number of funerary inscriptions were found, which are currently on display in the Carthage Museum. It is the most important Christian architectural complex known in the capital of Proconsular Africa.
