In the Tunisian dialect, jelizi means "ceramist". Located in the south-west of the medina, this mausoleum houses the tomb of the Muslim saint Sidi Kacem, venerated in the 15th century for his techniques in this field. Legend has it that the man himself made the earthenware of the zaouia. Today, it is a school of artistic ceramics and a museum of Islamic ceramics; some pieces, found during excavations in Tunis, date from the 13th century and the Hafsid dynasty.
