The synagogue of Pécs was opened in 1865. Its beautiful facade, divided into three parts, has a clock surrounded by a Hebrew inscription, small onion domes and tables of the law. Inside, you can admire the first organs from the Angster manufacture. The galleries reserved for women are supported by wrought iron pillars. One of the finest synagogues in the country. The location of the synagogue - freshly renovated - is a pleasure to see.

Très beau bâtimentà visiter sans faute à Pécs, dans un joli style romantique. Son très bel intérieur contraste d'ailleurs de manière saisissante avec l'histoire tragique de la population juive de la ville . Tout est raconté en détail dans cette synagogue et demandez d'ailleurs le cahier disponible en français qui vous permet de mieux comprendre le style et tous les symboles présents dans une synagogue.
