EGGENBERG HOUSE (CHILDREN'S MUSEUM)
House with the coat of arms of the Margrave of Brandenburg, a site steeped in history handed down to the Protestant church in Sopron.
Maison Eggenberg has borne the coat of arms of the Prince of Brandenburg since 1670. During the Counter-Reformation, Duchess Eggenberg organized Protestant services in the courtyard under the Hohenzollern coat of arms. From 1674 to 1676, the house took in persecuted Protestants from Vienna. Today, it houses a Children's Museum (Macskakő Gyermekmúzeum), where youngsters can learn about history through play: antique objects, period games, old desks, old-fashioned clothes...
