Black sand beach north of the village of Cahuita where the waves are appreciated by surfers.
Located north of the village of Cahuita, it extends for several kilometers to the mouth of the Tuba River. It is a black sand beach that is well suited for swimming. Playa Negra has been awarded the Bandera Azul, a very demanding ecological label that rewards efforts to conserve the natural environment. The waves are also appreciated by surfers, who are becoming more and more numerous in Cahuita. Not to be confused with the other Playa Negra, located north of Puerto Viejo. Perfect for a moment of relaxation under the sun.

Bien moins belle que celle du parc national (playa blanca), le sable ici est gris et pas du plus bel effet lorsque la plage est encombrée par les détritus de marée, c'est bien triste à voir et fréquenter, d'ailleurs la fréquentation est moindre sur cette plage, moins belle et accueillante que blanca, mais plus longue et avec une marée plus grande, le recul de la mer est impressionnant ici, et vous n'aurez pas beaucoup de sable sec pour poser votre serviette en sachant que la mer remonte jusqu'à la lisière des arbres, à méditer!!

it is long and wide beautiful black sand beach, it is easy to swim even if special attention is given the swell and currents. It is the beach of Costa Rican that comes in family but you can easily find 500 m2 of peace for you only!
