SANTA CRUZ

Here is a village, located a few kilometers from Turrialba, that has kept the traditional spirit of the country. It is particularly famous for its cheese (Queso Turrialba) whose unique flavor has made it famous throughout the country. This is due to the milk used and the ancestral artisanal process that has been passed down from generation to generation for over 100 years. It is also the birthplace of the Costa Rican writer and poet Jorge Debravo, whose literary work is based on social themes.
