MUSEO MUNICIPAL DE CARTAGO

Opened in 2010, this museum is housed in a military historic building dating back to the beginning of the century and recently rehabilitated. Here you can visit exhibitions on the history of the city, but also discover works by local artists. On the floor, note the magnificent mural mural facing you in the courtyard: it showcases important historic moments in Costa Rica, including the arrival of Christopher Columbus and its meeting with Indians.
