The view from our room was breathtaking, with a hot tub heated by the wood-burning fireplace. The staff are not only attentive and helpful but also incredibly friendly and responsive, adding a personal touch to the whole experience.

Each meal, expertly prepared by the chef, was tailored to our preferences using fresh ingredients sourced from their own garden.

Yoga sessions felt like stepping into a sanctuary, complete with the soothing sounds of nature and chirping birds.

We enjoyed so many great activities like jungle hikes, horseback riding, lazy river tubing, medicinal plant tour, etc.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Origins. The folks that run the place are so kind and so friendly. The rooms are amazing. The guides are so patient and good with kids. The food was good. The views are amazing. All around recommend if you are looking for a great jungle adventure with comfort and great food!

Wonderful/luxury/extravagant experience! If you’re looking for a get-a-way and a nature driven atmosphere, this is your place to stay! We went during March(dry season, no rain). We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the; beautiful views, extravagant food (made by brilliant chefs, super healthy/unique/broad/delicious 3-4 course meals… get the food package), friendly and A+ service catering to your every need, rainforest vibes and very peaceful stay. If you want to relax or you want to get active, there are many activities on-site (included) or off-site where you can see the many attractions of Costa Rica. We took advantage of the on-site nature walk and hike and also the horseback ride (with Axel/Martín) through a seriously breathtaking view, wonderful massage at the spa, off-site journey with tour guide (Carlos) to Rio Celeste to the blue waterfall and to the “tree of life/2nd largest tree in Costa Rica”. The villas are very relaxing(fire pit, hot tub/deck chairs) and all have amazing views and I mean amazing. There is no A/C but it cools down at night, there are multiple fans in the rooms as well. We saw wild life from our villas, toucans/a lot of birds you may never see again, a sloth and hearing howler monkeys in the distance. My wife and I we’re very pleased. The staff, Claudia, Allan, Sharon, Carlos, Sergio, Gasper, Yariala (I hope I spelled it right), Veronica, I’m sure I’m missing more. Thank you! Matt and Gabby from the US!

Au restaurant, Francisco, Véronica et leurs collègues, savent faire la différence, le
service est personnalisé et excellent. Le chef Jean et son équipe savent vous préparer des repas vraiment succulents et bien équilibrés. Le site est magnifique, les chambres sont très très bien entretenues.
L’environnement y est serein, l’ambiance et chique mais tellement conviviale/relaxe. Ce que ça fait du bien quelques jours dans ce paradis! On espère que ce joyaux restera comme il est au travers du temps et on espère y revenir bientôt.

I have traveled to wonderful resorts and hotels throughout the world and I can earnestly say that this is the first time I truly felt like I was on vacation. When you come to Origins, expect that you will make minimal decisions and all of your needs will be quickly satisfied. The concept blends nature and resort in a way that few places can match.

From the moment we arrived, the location felt like an oasis high in the rainforests of Costa Rica. The staff had already prepared a recommended agenda for each day and sat down to walk us through it, including times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A well thought out plan was already established - as it should be for a true vacation.

The rooms are immaculate, with very thoughtful design elements and concepts. The bedroom uses wonderful materials and is structured as a circle, keeping the bed as the center point to view the gorgeous scenery all around you. The bathroom is spacious and calming, including both an indoor and outdoor shower. Each product, from lotion to soap, is developed at Origins itself in their workshop, using only local plants and essential oils. There is ample seating and accent lighting within each room, as well as seamlessly integrated closets and storage. Coffee, teas, fruits, reusable water bottles, ponchos, umbrellas, robes, and chocolates are complimentary.

And then there is the balcony of each room. The balcony is where we spent so much of our time, as it includes a fireplace, infinity hot tub, and ample seating to overlook the majesty of the rainforest. Whether it is raining, cloudy, or clear skies, you will fall in love with the view. You are at such an elevation that you can witness the sun, clouds, rain, and atmosphere dance together while they shift throughout the day. This room and view allowed me to completely unplug like never before.

Special mention must be made for the restaurant, chef, and accompanying staff. Aside for breakfast, each meal is pre-fix to be between 3-5 courses. Let the Chef take you on a artful culinary journey with each course, ingeniously blending tropical flavors using very precise techniques. The idea is for you to sit back and delight in the menu rather than fuss over a static menu. Again, minimal decisions for you to make. Of course, the chef and staff are very accommodating to substitutions, if needed, and are already aware of your allergies and preferences when you arrive (granted you provided them when asked ahead of time). Finally, your view is immaculate, painted with colorful flaura / fauna, exotic birds (within a safe distance), and natural landmarks in the great distance.

Of course Origins comes with a hefty pricetag, but this includes all of your Michelin-level meals / service, immense complimentary items in the rooms, and a wide array of onsite activities. These activities include yoga classes, night walks, gorgeous hikes through the rainforest, horseback riding, medicinal plants tours, lagoon fishing, bird watching tours, and farm tours. If you take advantage of these activities and appreciate the Origins concept, the cost is well worth it if you are in a position to indulge.

Finally, a special thanks to all of the staff at the lodge. They are truly kind and generous with their service. Their inviting and charming personas remind you that good service still exists in an industry that is starting to wain in this aspect. Everyone is dedicated to your well being and satisfaction.

I highly recommend a visit to the Origins. Do yourself a favor and book at least 3-4 nights here so that you do not regret leaving earlier than you wanted.

3 Nights with 5 people costs 11k USD, excluding wine! Outrageous! The rooms are nice but the value for money is poor. Origins tries to squeeze their guests out of every last dollar - paid $40 per person for an average plate of pesto-pasta, and $25 for cocktails (excluding tax and service for both!) - I mean this is just crazy.

Unlike any experience I've had before - exceptional location and accommodations in the heart of the rainforest. Absolutely unforgettable

This place is incredible - the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. I cannot rate it highly enough; the views are breathtaking. The room rate includes a number of private wildlife tours, yoga, riding and fishing. The food was healthy and delicious. We have unforgettable memories of this place and cannot wait to return. Thank you to Allan and all the fabulous staff for making our trip so perfect.

Truly a magical place.

Origins Lodge is situated in a breathtaking location. No matter where you are on the premises, the beauty is overwhelming. This is just the beginning though as the food, served three times a day, is unbelievable. My wife and I (on our honeymoon) were amazed at the variety in the menu and at the team's willingness to accommodate our preferences (my wife does not like vegetables -- they were very accommodating). The service we received from everyone was excellent, specifically from Yariela, Melany, Allan, Sergio, Santiago, Gaspar, Veronica, and many many more. We could not more highly recommend the experience! (11/12/2023).

Wonderful! The highlight of our trip to Costa Rica

Trip of a life time! Service and food are 10 + stars! Sergio, Pablo, Veronica, Eduardo, Robin, Sharon, Gaspar, Axel, Catalina, Chico, absolutely everyone whether mentioned here or not was polite, accommodating, and knowledgable! We went during the transitional season, so as expected it rained for a majority of the trip but it didn’t even matter!! We were able to enjoy a night hike and see wildlife from the region. Howler Monkeys are heard in the distance. We took a trip to a butterfly farm on horseback (must say though, be prepared for a sore derrière) which was awesome! Birdwatching from the hot tub with a chimena to your side, listening to nature as you fall alseep in your draped bedroom, to waking up in your rainfall shower, with a breakfast catered to you liking (allergies already taken into consideration) this is an experience to never be forgotten! Oh, and we saw a SLOTH!!! For every guest visiting there are at least two employees, max 20 guest at a time. The most personal experience for sure. Views are insane! We felt like royalty!!

Origins is heaven! We had the best time here. The food was amazing and the tours were even better! We loved all of the staff: Veronica, Pablo, Chico, and more!

I just can say WOW.

A true hidden gem in the lush wilderness of northern Costa Rica. Our family of three just spent 3 wonderful nights at Origins and were fully immersed in a tropical paradise full of natural wonders and wildlife. Origins allowed us to leave behind our busy lives and really take the time to appreciate our natural surroundings. Our lodge had its own private plunge pool heated by a wood burning fireplace which had spectacular views across the rainforest and into Nicaragua. Our lodge was spacious and clean with an outdoor rainfall shower. The lodge was frequently cleaned and we felt like the Origins staff treated us with great care. An amazing bonus to our experience was the customizable daily itinerary which included a waterfall hike, a medical plant tour, horseback riding, and a night wildlife hike where we spent time speaking with our own personal guides who were so knowledgeable of the land. Included in our stay were 3 delicious meals per day prepared by a very skilled chef who presented diverse flavours and fresh, tasty food. Thank you Origins for a memorable experience and thank you for the birthday decorations and surprise cake - what a lovely and touching surprise!

The arquitectura is amazing, every single detail has been designed to make your experience an unique experience.The personnel is really professional and provides an excellent customer service.

I traveled to Origins with 2 teenagers. Everything & everyone was 5 stars. The staff were friendly, very attentive and took great care of us. My son has a nut allergy and my daughter is a vegetarian and the chef modified our meals to make them safe & delicious. The pool is beautiful and we loved our private hot tub. They coordinated our activities including zip lining, spa, sound healing with Nina & white water rafting (our favorite).

Ein ganz besonderer Ort! Als Hotel einfach nur erstklassig, das gesamte Personal zauberhaft, hilfsbereit und sehr persönlich. Die Ausblicke sind einmalig, auf unserer Terrasse war ein offener Kamin und direkt daneben ein Hot Pot. Die Kombination wirkt erst eigenartig, wenn es dann doch immer wieder regnet, merkt man, wie Schön, so ein offenes Feuer auch in dieser sehr warmen Umgebung sein kann. Das war ein außergewöhnliches Erlebnis, wir möchten gerne noch einmal wiederkommen!

We stayed here for part of our honeymoon in Jan 2023 and it was incredible!! The views from the hotel were breathtaking, the rooms with the private plunge pools were amazing. The staff were so helpful in arranging activities and very knowledgeable on the tours. the food was delicious. A nice touch is that they hand make their shampoos, soaps etc and even have a homemade insect repellant which came in so handy. It feels like they really thought of everything.
