Great place to start a beautiful holiday in Costa Rica. The garden is lovely and there are a lot of birds and other animals to spot.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, with airconditioning.
The restaurant has a nice menu with something for everyone to choose from. But if you want to eat somewhere else there also is a local restaurant nearby. There is also a small supermarket to buy your first groceries.
We always come back to La Rosa de America for a great start of our holiday in beautiful Costa Rica!
I wouldn’t stay again if someone paid me.
They advertise themselves as a spa hotel, so after a couple weeks of intense hiking, I came a day before my 30 hour travel home, spend a couple hundred dollars for taxis and the room, for the sole reason of getting a massage and soaking in a bath. I confirmed twice that my room was with a bath and didn’t get a clear answer regardless the massage so I figured would be able to book a slot when I arrive, only to discover they stopped with massages since Covid and not only was the bath non functional, the water pressure was so bad, I couldn’t even shower. I was trying to communicate with the manager (who wasn’t there) but she was of absolute no assistance, her attitude was aloof and I felt complete disregard for this ridiculous situation. In the morning they offered me a different room but it was also non functional. I absolutely wish I never stepped foot in this place. They completely ruined the end of my trip.
Great hotel, close to the airport and quiet. Rooms were very clean, with hot water showers (not that that’s a big deal in this climate), air conditioning, and a delicious home made breakfast with lots of fruit. And it has a nice pool and pool deck if it proper hot out.
We are a family of 3 with a baby. Found this hotel because our flight got in really late at night, 15 mins from the airport. Check in and check out was literally 1 second. Rooms were simple, but clean and had a/c. Beds were comfy and they put a baby crib for us, they even had a baby seat available in the dining room for the delicious breakfast that’s included. Great wifi. Sad we couldn’t stay longer. For the price, best deal I’ve seen in YEARS!
The accomodation is a 15 minute drive from the airport. A taxi shuttle was arranged from the airport to the hotel. The staff was really nice and made us feel welcome in Costa Rica. The hotel has a restaurant where you can eat local food.
The breakfast is quite nice. They serve a typical Costa Rican breakfast with rice, beans, egg, and fruits in a buffet.
The rooms are tidy but dated, have AC and a shower with warm water.
The garden is really nice, you don't feel like you're in a city.
Lovely hotel pefect for the airport. Good breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance to the animal rescue centre and a short bus ride to Alajuela.
Un excellent hôtel avec des chambres-bungalows très agréables, un parc splendide et une cuisine excellente. Très bonne adresse à l'arrivée ou au départ du voyage. Permet d'éviter San José, une ville peu intéressante.
