The airport is well equipped with stores, car rental companies, tourist information points, etc. If you want to change your money, you should know that the exchange rate at the airport is not at all interesting. Depending on your arrival time and itinerary, it may be smarter to sleep in Alajuela: the trip will be cheaper and you will be able to leave more easily the next day. Cabs and buses are available right outside the airport, and you should consider downloading the Uber app as well.
