Museum with the largest collection of jade of the continent and the famous tables to grind corn of the chorotega tribes of the north.
Each of the five rooms presents a different theme: the cultural and ecological context of jade production, the routes of jade, jade in everyday objects, cultural beliefs and ancestral memory... The largest collection of jade in the Americas presents religious, decorative or ornamental objects and ceramic kitchen utensils, as well as gold objects from 500 BC to 800 AD. In this museum, one can see the famous corn grinding tables(metates) of the northern Chorotega tribes.

- the museum is on the ground floor of the ` Instituto Nacional de Seguros.
- L ` hours museum is Monday to Friday of 8:30 to 15:30 hour and on Saturdays from 9:00 to 13:00 hour.
- Currently visitors pays €8. Children younger whom 12 years does not look.
J ` liked the museum even if the explanation its only in Spanish and English.
