FERIA DE ZAPOTE

Known as «Toros A» or «Zapote Bullfights», this Costa Rican bullfighting is very different from the Spanish bullfighting. Here, bulls provided by the most famous ranches are neither injured nor killed. And the toreros that are in the arena have no professional preparation. The highlight of the show is the bulls race: dozens of young men enter the arena and try to frighten bulls to attack them.
