In the quiet embassy district east of San José, Le Bergerac, a large bourgeois house, is a place to relax with its large elegant rooms furnished in an antique style, some of which have balconies overlooking an intimate private garden. For breakfast, you will have the choice between the restaurant and the wooded terrace. Reading room, meeting room, terrace café, laundry service, luggage storage, airport transfers (US$30 for 1 to 3 people). The hotel's restaurant, Cyrano's, is renowned for its fine cuisine.

It was bad! It used to be a beautiful place years ago. Not anymore. Landscape is not taking care of. I got mosquito bites. There were spider webs in my room and I saw one????️on the shower towels. Service was poor. I tried to get another room and was told the hotel was full which I didn’t believe. It looked empty instead. Their policy won’t accept cancellations so you will loose your money. Staff was ok. Not so welcoming and accommodating. The bathroom smelled bad. Water didn’t drain well in the shower. The toilet had a brown stain that looked gross and dirty. The wood floors made a creaking noise when I walked around the room. It wasn’t quiet at all; I could hear people partying all night long! I stayed there for two nights and couldn’t wait to get out of there! Do not stayed at this place and save yourself a terrible experience!

Mooi, in oude stijl hotel. Mooie ruime kamers. Receptie aanwezig. Gemoedelijke sfeer. Ontbijt aanwezig. Op 20 minuten lopen van het centrum.

If I could give this hotel zero stars, I would. What was once a luxurious and elegant establishment where we stayed 20 years ago is now a sad, decrepit shell of its former self. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this hotel had fallen into disrepair. The front desk attendant was nowhere to be found, and we had to ring a doorbell and wait for what seemed an eternity before someone finally showed up to check us in.

Our room was a huge disappointment. While we had an outdoor “patio”, there was only a table frame with no top, so we couldn't even enjoy the outdoor space that we paid for. The bathroom had no towels, and the bedspreads did not appear washed or changed from the previous guest. The entire hotel had a sleazy and dirty feel to it – peeling paint, dirty floors, electrical wires hanging out of the walls, etc.

To make matters worse, the hotel had a locked-down feel with bars and locks everywhere, including the reception area. It was as if they were expecting some sort of attack, and it instilled no confidence in the safety of the premises. When you park, the parking area is locked personally by the attendant with a padlock, and guess what? When you want to leave, you have to go and find the attendant by, you guessed it, ringing the doorbell and waiting and waiting and waiting …

After seeing the condition of our room, we quickly picked up our luggage and fled to a much better place. I would strongly not recommend this hotel. Save yourself our experience and book somewhere else.

Fantastic location in Los Yoses. However, the hotel rooms are in dire need of maintenance and repairs everywhere. It might be due to being understaffed and people overworked that Jeremy the person at the front desk reacts always annoyed and rudely at clients requests or questions.
