The Chilean band Inti-Illimani is now 50 years old and so many years of music are worth celebrating! Founded in 1967, they produce Chilean folk music and denounce through their melodies the violence of the Latin American dictatorships of the 1970s and 80s. For the occasion, they celebrated at the National Theatre of Costa Rica on Friday May 12th. The event was organized by the "Cuencas de Limón" Foundation of Costa Rica, which fights for the protection of forest areas as well as river basins in order to affirm water quality for the future. For this meeting the group "Cantoamérica" was invited to share joy and good mood always with music. Happy birthday to Inti-Illimani!
