MARITIMO MUSEUM

This museum was designed in tribute to explorers in the Far East. It was built on the very site where the first Portuguese traders set foot. The museum's architecture, inspired by the sails of a ship, evokes a boat anchored at the entrance to the inner port. It is an exciting museum. The exhibitions show models and reduced models of ships, navigational and fishing techniques. In addition, we can follow the travels of Zheng He, a admiral of the era of the Ming who explores the east coast of Africa, the Persian Gulf and India. The museum features a cosy sea-side bar.
