It was here that the British landed in 1841 after the First Opium War. The park, also known as Possession Point, marks the creation of Hong Kong as a British colony. Originally situated on the coast before reclamation works, the park is now more than 500 meters from the shore. Today, it's a beautifully landscaped park with pavilions, ponds and giant banyan trees, offering a tranquil atmosphere in the heart of the city, ideal for a break, watching people doing their Tai Chi.
