Located south of Beihai, Weizhou is the largest volcanic island in China. A true gem, it shows beautiful volcanic relics (cliffs, rocks, caves). Some of them recall the form of animals, such as the Turtle cliff. The island of course has beautiful beaches. Behind the main beach is a cliff entirely covered with underwater coral. Weizhou also has a Catholic church. Built in 1869, it was the first church built by the foreign mission from Paris to Beihai.
