The temple was built under the Song of the Song in 1189 in tribute to the poet Han Yu. Some paintings of the temple were restored in 1984. During your walk you can visit the pavilions bordering the temple, such as the Yun Yuan Pavilion. Once you arrive at the top, you can enjoy the view of Chaozhou's old merchant city.
