The Luoyang Bridge, also known as the Wan'an Bridge, is an architectural marvel. Built during the Song dynasty in the 11th century, it is one of the oldest stone bridges in China. Over 1,200 metres long, it rests on a series of imposing granite pillars, linked by stone slabs. Designed to withstand floods and tides, it is a testament to the skills of Chinese engineers of the time. Today, it remains a symbol of the rich maritime and commercial past of Quanzhou, once a thriving city under the Maritime Silk Road.
