Impressive! The Impression Da Hong Pao show, performed nightly and directed by Zhang Yimou, the director of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games ceremonies, is one of the finest in the Impression series. It has a few surprises in store for the audience, who are literally transported from one setting to another, between river and tea plantations. Some 2,000 artists perform simultaneously, creating a tableau of rare poetry. The show traces the history of the different varieties of tea, enhanced by a 360° rotating stage. Not to be missed!
