At 970 metres, this granite massif is the most southerly in Gallura. From its peaks, Punta Majore and Punta Coloredda, and from the vantage points along the trails, the view stretches from Gennargentu to the beautiful beaches of San Teodoro and the island of Tavolara. Monte Nieddu is a paradise for hikers and mountain bikers and a geological beauty: over the centuries, water has sculpted the granite of the rock, creating natural pools such as the famous Rio Pitrisconi waterfalls (one of the few Sardinian torrents that flows all year round).
