Site with several houses exhibiting works of artists from Ulassai

On the site of a former railway station, several small houses display works by the artist Maria Lai (1919-2013), originally from Ulassai. The first woman artist to conceive an art form between land art and performance art, Maria Lai expresses herself through her works by involving the entire village community. She transforms the land and the surrounding countryside into a moving work where contemporary art and tradition meet. The guide will show you several of her works, explaining the messages she wanted to convey.
