Park with a rich fauna and flora in Barumini.
The basalt plateau of Giara di Gesturi covers an area of 5,000 ha. Its flora is dominated by cork oak and Mediterranean scrub. Many animals find refuge in this oasis: foxes, wild boars, martens and, above all, unique wild horses. You can visit the park on foot (excursions can last from 2 hours to a full day), by bike, on horseback or in a 4x4 vehicle. Spring is the best time to visit, when the water spills into the small depressions in the ground, creating an open-air mirror.
