Wave Rock is a gigantic rock mass formed over 2,700 million years ago and patiently sculpted by erosion. It has an astonishing wave shape, some fifteen metres high and a hundred metres long. It seems ready to break over the tourists who flock to the hollow of this colossal blade! It was in 1963 that a reporter made the previously totally unknown but eminently photogenic rock famous with a photo published in National Geographic magazine.
