When visiting Strahan, why not take a look at the cemetery? Established in 1888 on a hill overlooking the sea, the Strahan Cemetery reflects the extraordinary situations and hardships faced by the early settlers. The Huon pine headstones are a testament to the extreme strength of this unique wood. There are a few monumental headstone structures, some probably reflecting the success of the early settlers.
