Discover the daily life of miners and the history of this mine in Saint-Éloy-les-Mines.
Located at the foot of the large headframe of the Saint-Joseph shaft, the museum is dedicated to the daily life of miners and the history of the mine. It is presented in several areas: the hanging room, the lamproom, the slaughter site, the support site, the projection room and the garden. This year, an immersive room has been added. Visitors discover a visual and sound creation that pays tribute to the region's mining past and addresses its energy transition. Children have fun with the booklet, and teenagers investigate a theft of explosives.
