A shopping mall built in the 1980s, renowned for its 390 stores and immense 20-storey glass dome.

Located in the heart of Melbourne, Melbourne Central is home to over 390 stores. Its unique feature is Coop's Shot Tower, a 50-metre tower erected in 1889 to manufacture shot for hunting. Rather than being demolished, this historic tower was preserved and integrated into the complex in the 1980s, protected by an 84-metre-high glass dome designed by Japanese architect Kisho Kurokawa. This contrast between industrial heritage and contemporary design makes for an interesting experience.
