ROYAL BOTANIC GARDENS
A beautiful botanical garden with preserved ecosystems and extraordinary fauna such as cockatoos and possums.
Nestled in the heart of Melbourne, the park is home to 38 hectares of unspoilt nature, a blend of local and exotic species. Founded in 1846, it is home to more than 8,500 varieties of plants and original wildlife, from cockatoos to nocturnal possums. The Ian Potter Foundation Children's Garden invites children to playful explorations, while the cafés and vast lawns offer a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the city. To better understand this botanical treasure trove, visit the Observatory Precinct, the starting point for guided tours.
