Opened in 1936, this Art Deco building is a Saint Kilda landmark. During the Second World War, it served as a club for American officers. In the 1970s, it became a flagship venue for the LGBTQIA+ scene. In addition to its 2 historic bar-restaurants, a concert space, the Prince Bandroom, was inaugurated in 1950. It hosted artists such as Nick Cave and The Birthday Party, cementing its reputation in the 1980s punk scene. Today, The Prince also offers rooms.
