Cattle and camel farm offering various accommodation options: camping and glamping in a cowboy atmosphere.
36 km from the canyon, Kings Creek Station is a cattle and camel farm that offers a variety of lodging options, from camping to glamping to bush tents with shared bathrooms. This is the real Outback with a cowboy vibe. Don't hesitate to go and see the camels, which are partly dedicated to export. Between March and October, you can take a helicopter tour or visit the ranch by quad bike. The café is also a good option for a quick lunch or a nice dinner with a drink after your adventures in Watarrka.

The property in himself is convenient for visiting Kings Canyon (30min road), but you should know that there is nothing all around. You will be dependent on them for food including (the restaurant closed one at 18:30, otherwise you must buy packs BBQ at a reasonable price). Wi-fi " rural Australia" paying. The pool was served to refresh but did not seem to us very clean, unlike the facilities that were nickels. Only Asian staff is very friendly and helpful, unlike the owner who watches over its employees but does not exchange for its guests.
We stayed 2 nights in a " cabine" who is in fact a tent with two beds and a table. The climatisator did not manage to cool the air of the room that never had to pass under the 30 degrees. We did not really rest. Not recommended for hot summer months, especially as rate is really high.

Beautiful place to start an excursion to Kings Canyon. Accommodations under permanent public tent but well maintained with shower WC and bungalow with bbq fridge table etc. possibility to buy meat and drink at the entrance to cook on your return getaway.
The best at Watarrka National Park and around
