On exit of the city, on the Stuart Highway towards Pine Creek. It is the 3rd by its size in Australia, and hosts the bodies of 63 civilians and 434 soldiers (407 Australians, 26 British, 1 Canadian) killed during attacks on Darwin and the Northern Territory military installations in the 1940 s. In the middle of the cemetery, a memorial erected in honour of the 278 Australian forces killed during fighting in the East Timor and northern Australia regions under the 20 th parallel. A poster on the entry-ready information panel proposes to visit several Internet sites (www.anzacsite.gov.au - www.ww2australia.gov.au) dedicated to the various battles to which Australia participated. A place of respect held by The Office of Australian War Graves.
